bio
Annelies Vaneycken explores the peripheries of the design field. In 1999 she founded Trans-ID, a studio for visual communication based in Brussels, and has been working there as a designer ever since. Besides client-related work, she is interested in the “authorship” of her profession, where graphic design meets other disciplines. She enjoys exploring social issues arising from cultural identity into self-initiated projects.
Since 1999 she’s been a lecturer at the LUCA, school of Arts in Brussels. In 2007 she became laureate of the bi-annual Prize of Art and Design of the province of Flemish Brabant. She lives and works in Belgium.
